BINDA ABUSE HAPPENS – Card #3
I arrive back from work on Friday afternoon. Sam’s standing in the doorway and won’t let me past. He says, “I’ve changed my mind – I don’t want you here anymore. You left, you don’t get to treat me like this. This is my house, so fuck off!”
I don’t know what’s brought this on- he doesn’t look like he’s been drinking. He’s been angry since I came back.
The kids are already in the house, and I say, “Fine, me and the kids will get out of your house and your face.” He says, “No! My kids will stay here with me, in my house, you can piss off by yourself.”
He pushes me out of the doorway. I trip and he kicks me. He walks back into the house. I’m so distressed and in shock. What am I going to do? I think about going to the police to get help, but I’m scared they won’t help me. They’ll tell Sam where I’ve been and what I’ve said he’s done, and it’ll make him worse.
I never thought he would do this. This is a nightmare.
