BINDA COURT – Card #1

I stayed with my cousin out of town for the weekend. I can’t get into court until Monday, which means he has the kids over the weekend – I hope they’re ok.

At court on Monday afternoon, I’m dressed in some clothes I borrowed from my cousin. I haven’t slept and look like a wreck. I have no idea what it will be like, I haven’t been to court before.

I get help applying for a protection order. I just want my kids back. They grant a temporary protection order.

Then I find out that Sam’s uncle helped Sam apply to get custody of the kids and he’s been given it. I can’t believe it. I’m burning with anger. I’m going to fight him and get my kids back.

I need to find a new place to live with the kids so we can start a new life. I can keep my job because I can stay on the Gold Coast; the DVO will stop him from hurting me.
