The Domestic Violence Advocate explains my information is confidential; she won’t tell anyone the things that I share with her unless she speaks with me first. I say I’m still frightened of Sam, and she talks about a safety plan. The worker says she’ll help me with the court process and to get legal advice on negotiating with Sam about the kids. I agree if Sam does something he shouldn’t, I’ll call the police. They’ll believe me because I have a protection order.
I go home and implement the safety measures we discussed.
