My name is Paula and I work at the local shop where Lana comes to buy her smokes and groceries.
Lana’s been coming to my shop for many years now. That girl just likes to get in trouble. I know she served time after what she did to that first boyfriend of hers. I heard she tried to kill him. Good that her kids got taken away. What kind of mother does something like that? Can’t blame the children if they hate her.
Since she’s been out, I’ve seen Lana come to the shop with this new guy, Kai. He’s a total prick that one. I’ve seen him around before, when he was with other girls. Now Lana rarely comes to the shop without Kai. And when she comes without him, she looks so stressed. She always seems in a hurry, and she is on the phone with him the whole time. I think she’s got someone who knows how to keep her in line. She deserves that.
